Coffee stations will be available all day at Pavilion 19. During coffee breaks, a selection of cookies and other treats will be provided.

Lunches can be purchased at the lunch corners in Pavilion 19. Participants can also enjoy the nearby restaurants around the Conference Center.

How to reach Bologna

Bologna by plane

Guglielmo Marconi International Airport links Bologna with the main Italian and European airports. The airport is located just a few minutes from the city center and about 8 km (15’ by taxi) from “Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi”. With the Marconi Express monorail, you can reach the Bologna airport from Bologna Central Train Station and the city center in 7 minutes. The airport is served also by taxis outside the terminal.

Bologna by train

Bologna Central Station is one of the largest railway hubs in Italy and Europe, handling over 700 regional, intercity and high-speed trains a day. Operated by Trenitalia and Italo, high-speed trains connect Bologna with the rest of Italy and many European cities.

Bologna by car

The city is at the junction of the A1, A14 and A13 highways, and so is easily accessible from anywhere in Italy. The A1 motorway (“Autostrada del Sole”) links Bologna with Milan, Florence and Rome. The A13 motorway links Bologna with Ferrara, Padua and Venice, while the A14 connects it with Rimini and Ravenna.

Parking option available: Parcheggio Piazza Costituzione. The cost is € 12/day, the parking will be open from 8.00 to 20.00.

Rentals

There are plenty of car hire agencies at the airport and downtown Bologna. Driving licences issued by any of the EU member states are valid throughout the European Union, including Italy.

Public transportation

You have several options available to reach Palazzo dei Congressi in Bologna by public transportation. Here are some ways to get there:

From Bologna Central Station

Take bus line 35 towards "Fiera" and get off at the "Aldo Moro" stop.
You can also take line 38 towards "Fiera" and get off at the "Fiera Palazzo dei Congressi" stop.

From Bologna City Center

You can take line 28 from Piazza Maggiore towards "Pilastro" and get off at the "Fiera Palazzo dei Congressi" stop.
Line 21 is also an option, taking it from via Rizzoli and getting off at the "Fiera Palazzo dei Congressi" stop.
